In this session, educators will uncover the impact of biases on the teaching and learning of mathematics. Together, we will engage in a conversation to reframe deficit narratives of historically oppressed populations. Participants will also engage in rehearsals on asset-based discourse around work samples in attending to students’ mathematical thinking.
