OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEACHERS
VCTM proudly recognizes the hard work done by Virginia educators in the forms of a variety of grants and teaching awards.
Each year, VCTM recognizes a classroom teacher at the elementary, middle, secondary, university, and math specialist/coach level for his or her outstanding work in the field of mathematics. On teacher selected from each of the five categories may be awarded the VCTM William C. Lowry Mathematics Educator of the Year Award.
The Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics is offering Virginia mathematics educators a one-year grant worth up to $5000. This grant is designed to support educators who wish to create a meaningful, innovative project that enhances some aspect of the K-12 mathematics curriculum.
